Taiwan trip (23 Oct – 30 Oct ’09)

This is my first trip to travel with Airasia X. It is boring and tiring throughout the entire flight. The most disappointment is the seats are not adjustable and really tired. Even the express bus’s seating also much more comfortable than the seating in Airasia X. Luckily, this trip is really fantastic and enjoyable. I will definitely pay a 2nd visit again!

Before departing, there are tons of information can be obtained through the Taiwan Visitors Association, Kuala Lumpur Office. The people there are kind enough to answer all your inquiries and here i get my 2 Hot Spring Vouchers for FREE & 2 travel booklets. Photos posted at the bottom…

My itinerary:

Day 1 : K.L – Taipei – Dinner

Day 2 : Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall – Taipei 101 – Wufenpu

Day 3 : National Palace Museum – Xinbeitou Hot Spring – Danshui Old Street – Fisherman’s Wharf

Day 4 : Jiufen Old Street – Keelung – Shilin Night Market

Day 5 : Taipei 101 – National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall – Gongguan Night Market

Day 6 : Gold Ecological Park – Maokong – Xi Men Ding

Day 7 : Long Shan Temple – Taipei Underground Market – Xi Men Ding – Taipei Storyland

Day 8 : Taipei – K.L

After 5 hours flight, here we reached the Tao-yuan International Airport, Taiwan.

Here we apply for the Youth Travel Card through the Customer Service Counter right in front of the arrival hall.

We were staying in SLove Hotel (璽愛旅店) which the SL stand for Say Love. This is the place where we were staying for the couple of days. Surprisingly the hotel is well manage and the design is not bad and we love it so much as it is really convenience.
It is just located opposite the Taipei Main Station. So you have no difficulty in looking for public transportation especially for backpackers. Belows are the short intro from the Hotel Website.
